My favorite things in APRIL

I want to apologize for the blog hiatus. April has been an extremely busy month for us and because of that my blog has been neglected. Someone call Child Protective Services, there is a neglected, malnourished blog here! However, I couldn't let April pass with out posting about my favorite things I've experienced during the month.

1. SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far April has been my favorite month living in Virginia. The trees are back in bloom, the grass is green, people are outside gardening and planting flowers. All the things this native Floridian used to take for granted!

2. To ride on the coat tails of #1 I will embellish I little more with #2. OPEN TOED SHOES!!!

Ah, how I have missed seeing my toes! I never thought I would say that. Living in Florida my whole life I had a tendency to stock pile flip flops. Why not, being that I could wear them year round! So being that I own about 50 pairs of open toed shoes/sandals I was dying to wear them again. But what was the first thing I had to do to start wearing all my old shoes again???? You guessed it....

3. PEDICURES!!!!

Hello, fire engine red toes, and foxy french, pretty in pink, and curiously coral! How I have missed all of your fun shades!

4. WEIGHT WATCHERS-CANDY BAR ICE CREAM

I have a serious sweet tooth. I mean I cannot go 1 night without having dessert after my dinner. In fact, I'm totally good with never eating "real food" again and only having a diet made up of ice cream, chocolate, cheese cake and apple pie! (I have to have some fruit in my diet!) I think I may have a problem? Which is why I'm obsessed with any Weight Watchers dessert. All it takes is 2-3 points and I'm blissfully happy! So when WW introduced a new 3 point candy bar that looks like a Snickers ice cream bar, tastes like a Snickers ice cream bar, acts like a Snickers ice cream...you get the point? I was ecstatic!! Seriously, (pathetically) ecstatic!

I even went to 3 different grocery stores chasing these bad boys down when my grocery store was out of them. I almost didn't want to post about these little suckers in fear that people would catch on and they would be sold out in every grocery store across the country. But then again, my fan base of readers on this blog totals about 4 on a good day, so I think I'm safe!
