1. California Pizza Kitchen: Miso Seafood Salad
This lil puppy has me in a salad craze! It is no secret that I love CPK, but when they introduced their new Miso Seafood Salad it brought our love to a whole new level. If you can't tell from the picture the salad has Shredded Napa cabbage with fresh avocado, julienne cucumbers, daikon, edamame, carrots, red cabbage, green onions, cilantro, crispy rice noodles and crisp wontons tossed in a Miso dressing and topped with blue crab and shrimp. Isn't it dreamy? Typically I would classify myself as not having an addictive personality. However, this salad may have me changing my mind. I think about it, I dream about it, I yearn for the next time I can sink my teeth into it! I've eaten it 7 times in the last 3 weeks! I know, it's that good!
2. Entourage
How can you not love these guys from Queens! I mean who doesn't want to date Vince (sorry honey), marry E (sorry honey), be best friends with Turtle (sorry honey), feel sorry for Drama(not sorry honey), and die laughing at Ari! I will follow these guys from Queens to LA and anywhere else they may go. The show is on fire. Steve and I started watching the show this past October and have now seen every episode to date. We have made the frantic, 'hurry and get there before it closes' run to Blockbuster to rent the next Season while pulling all nighters to "just watch one more episode." We cannot get enough. The countdown is on till summer for the brand new season!
3.Espresso Bike
Since I clearly have no willpower when it comes to food, I decided March was a good time to change up my workout routine. I discovered a new cardio machine at my gym that has me all pumped! That is probably why it is called Espresso! It is a stationary bike that has a video screen on it. You can choose from different rides from basic to extreme. Since it was my first time on this bike I chose a basic flat ride through a Caribbean town. There are much more extreme tours with mountains, water, sand and speedways. There is a pacer who rides with you and the object is to keep up with him or I guess potentially beat him. The really cool part is that you can create a log in and track your progress online and compare yourself to other people.
4. Regional Leadership Conference led by Dr. Erica Brown
I was invited to a regional conference on "Going From Good to Great" and although I already think I'm pretty great at some things, alas I am just good at most. So, why not learn how to become "great" at something else. And that something was becoming a great leader. Dr. Brown is an enthralling speaker and being a part of her conference was truly a gift~!
5. Hampton Roads Magazine
This magazine has been our Mr. Miagi if you will. Although it doesn't teach us how to wax on and wax off, it does teach us all about Hampton Roads. From where to eat, shop, festivals, concerts it knows all and sees all and we are along for the ride.
